Who is Ulf Erlingsson: geographer, believer in the good

Welcome to my personal website. I am a geographer, entrepreneur, democracy activist and philanthropist. My formal degree is a PhD in Physical Geography from Uppsala University. My company Lindorm, Inc. manufactures the SediMeter instrument that I invented in the 1980’s. As democracy activist I coordinated the network Operación Libertad Venezuela, and I started the NGO Fuerza de Paz Venezuela, Inc., which helped Venezuelan refugees in Colombia near the border.

Ever since I was a research student I have studied European paleogeography, and I have published the books Atlantis from a Geographer’s Perspective – Mapping the Fairy Land (2004) and the Swedish PDF-book Européernas DNA från en geografs perspektiv (2005). After that, I wrote more peer-reviewed articles (on the glaciology, sea level, and climatic implications of the Ice Age), I dedicated many years to my business Lindorm, Inc., and the spare time to the fight for democracy and freedom, but now I am continuing the project on writing, for the first time, about that part of European history that has been lost to history. Or so scholars though for thousands of years.

The paleogeography of Europe

This is now coming to fruition, and you can follow it on the new website Homeros World, as well as on the YouTube channel by the same name: Homeros World.

As for my background, I leave the following text from the previous version of this website (it was hacked and destroyed shortly after I was kidnapped by the ELN narco-guerrilla, a group that is closely linked to the narco-regime in Venezuela). That kidnapping was amply covered by media in both Sweden and Colombia.

In case you wonder, this website and my blog were hacked after the kidnapping, and I don’t have the energy to restore it. I’m sure you can find it in the WayBack Machine, such as the secret Honduras Supreme Court arrest order of president Manuel Zelaya in 2009, which I was the first to publish. But who cares, now that democracies turn into dictatorships left and right. In case you think I sound cynical, it is because too many people know what is going on and they don’t care, and even if they do care, they are not willing to give up some comfort to save the future.
